Artist Nan Hill Delivers “Destination: Dachau” Presentation at Meekins Library

Massachusetts-based painter Nan Hill, who has received commissions from the Inayatiyya for portraits of both Noor and her father Hazrat Pir-o-Murshid Inayat Khan, recently delivered a presentation on Noor’s detention and execution at the Dachau concentration camp at the Meekins Library. She was introduced by Sandra Lillydahl, Business Manager of Suluk Press and former University of Massachusetts Amherst librarian. The presentation focused on Noor’s contributions to the British war effort as an SOE agent, as well as her capture, escape attempts, and eventual execution at the hands of the Nazis in 1944. The presentation commemorated the 75th anniversary of her execution.
