HuDost Releases Eastern Rose Garden Featuring Noor’s “Song to the Madzub”

Montréal and Morgantown, KY musicians Moksha Sommer and Jemal Wade Hines, otherwise known as HuDost, have released a new album titled Eastern Rose Garden that features a modern interpretation of Noor’s “Song to the Madzub.” With a sound that is self-described as “a rich, eclectic blending of pop and rock with traditional Sufi music, Bulgarian, Croatian, Macedonian and Balkan folk music, Farsi, Turkish, Arabic, and folk,” HuDost taps into the same multicultural expressive spirit that suffuses Noor’s creative oeuvre. This shared desire to “overcome the differences and distinctions which divide us” translates into a beautiful tapestry of moods and timbres.
