We Rubies Four: The Memoirs of Claire Ray Harper Now in Print

Suluk Press recently published a family memoir from Noor’s younger sister, Claire Ray Harper (born Khairunisa Inayat Khan). Trained as a pianist and a nurse, Claire worked in British hospitals in WWII and in Norman Heatley’s penicillin laboratory – following her siblings Noor and Vilayat into the British war effort. In this memoir, she recounts episodes from the Inayat Khan household, including intimate descriptions of her memories of their childhood.
